The honoring of the Runner of the Year

The occasion was the honoring of the Runner of the Year by the Association of the Road Race Organizers (ARRO) held at the top Manila Hilton Hotel Last August 20 1987, The very first time that our long distance runners received there due base on performances and statistics.

A cebuana LUZVISMINDA BERRO VALLECERA finished over all third place in the Philippines Third World Marathon 1987 42 kilometers among 6,000 plus participants worldwide. Eight Place in 42 kilometers PAL' Manila International Marathon overall. first in women Division Category.and 6th place in the LADY BOSTON 10 miller International Marathon.

All female awardees where present and received their prizes personally from quest of honor Joey Romasanta of New Project Gintong Alay. ARRO Angel Colmenares who has worked the most of this Runner of the year. Emcee was due Cantada other ARRO officers.Present Col.Pete Watson,Tom Carrascoso ,Rudy Biscocho,Jun Castro ,Danny Crisologo and Cezar Cruz.
